I have met so many wonderful people in the 9 months that I have been blogging. My first blog was Free PC Security, and 3 months later this blog sprang into life and has been a greater success than I could ever have imagined. The blogosphere has expanded to include all countries and nationalities, where barriers and borders do not exist. We have all come together to create a truly universal family, which I am proud to be a part of. You all know who you are, and I thank you for making me feel so welcome. I wish each and every one a Very Happy New Year, and hope that you enjoy good health, peace and prosperity throughout 2008.

Kim – Mine is much the same, Free PC Security has its own regular readers and subscribers, but comments are fewer, and this blog, like laketrees, where people will leave comment more willingly. Comments on this blog are very much higher than my other blog, but readership is very close on both lol.
I think with mine that this blog appeals more to the blogging community whereas my other blog, being niche specific, gets more traffic coming from search engines. Opposite ends of the spectrum really, yet somehow both have a PR5, which does surprise me.
Rose is ok and very understanding. I also understand her reasoning and can’t knock it in any way. Some are not so happy to use this and that is their right, in future I will bear this in mind 🙂

I have a similiar situation occurring with my rankings at laketrees and PoeARTica…both with a ranking of 4….
PoeARTica seems to have a life of it’s own and a very good readership….yet very few comments…whereas laketrees seems to have a different readership who are more willing to leave a comment…

I always respect others wishes and if people want to not link then that is fine. There are many that accept the link as a single link and post only the award with a single link back.
It works for them and I’m quite happy with whatever works for each person.

Rose – I fully appreciate what you are saying and I respect that. If my PR on this blog goes down I’m not too worried as I have a good readership, whereas my Free PC Security blog I hold a tight rein on as that also has the same PR and an excellent readership, mostly through search engines.
I am aware of those that got banned from Technorati’s Top 100, and in time Technorati may well follow the same steps as Google. If this is so, then major changes will undoubtedly take place.
You have an excellent blog, and I harbor no ill will whatsoever, and I wish you every success too 🙂

Well Colin it would be too early to tell if you have maintain your PR as Toolbar Pagerank updates happen every three months.
It’s always nice to be included in a list Colin and I do appreciate the award, however I’m not interested in being part of any Technorati exchange schemes.
I’m not sure if Technorati even cares about these schemes used to increase ranking, but I do. Who knows, perhaps at some point Technorati will catch on and start banning blogs that take part in these schemes. I know that four bloggers have been removed from the Top 100 ranking list because they didn’t get there naturally.
Alex King, John Chow, Matt Mullenweg and Binary Moon were all banned from Technorati Top 100 ranking.
To Laketree – It was not that I did not want or appreciate the award. I do not want or wish to be involved in any schemes used to increase Google ranking or Technorati ranking. I believe that is my prerogative. Do you have a problem with that? I’d much rather have 5 genuine readers link to my blog because I have something of value to offer them then the 20 incoming links I received from this.

I am well aware of what Google states, and thus far I have maintained my PR on all of my blogs and sites. This is not a scheme to ‘increase site ranking’, but one which does reflect upon Technorati ranking. One has to realise that inbound links should be greater than outbound links and you can check inbound links at sites like http://www.websitegrader.com or http://www.seomoz.org/

Link Love Rules…immaterial of what Google thinks, and Technorati are still using the Wayback machine as their crew are stil on a bungee jump. WordPress alerts are great and although I use the Google and Techno fluff, WordPress is much more reliable – I say with baited breath as anything can change hahaha.
As for the Present Ration….I think we are all aware that it can change when they decide to have another funny turn…it’s about time blogs were recognised for their content and quality which is exceeding that of many websites….we can all dream though can’t we!!

Now I’m not so sure that my red phone connects to God…the halo slipped and is throttling me hahaha….and I keep trying for the lottery but they just kep on giving me the wrong tickets…they just can’t seem to get it right 🙂
